The initial appointment is for one and a half hours including a treatment. This includes gaining a detailed understanding of the main problem. Also acupuncture works best when I learn your fuller health history, emotional and constitutional state. So some time is spent gaining this information and insight.

Many people feel a slight tingle or a dull sensation when the needles are inserted. They are left in while you sit or lie on a couch for 15-20 minutes and a general feeling of relaxation is common.

Further sessions of 45 minutes are used to understand how you are and apply the treatment for your needs. Weekly at first and as you improve, extending the time between each one as required.

Most people can see improvements straight away some take longer. In most cases I recommend 5 or 6 treatments so you can decide how to continue.

Charges are per consultation: 1st Consultation - £35, - and then £30 thereafter
Plus any herbal tablets prescribed Typically £10 – 20 for a month’s supply
